Gunmen Attack Abuja Village, Kill Vigilante, and Assault Two Girls

Suspected kidnappers have killed a vigilante and assaulted two girls during an attack on Kpaduma 3, a community near Asokoro Extension in Abuja.

The incident occurred on Monday night, September 15, 2025, when gunmen stormed the area, raiding homes and engaging in a gunfight with local vigilantes.

Residents described the assault, which lasted several hours, as one of the most terrifying experiences in the community, with heavy gunfire and grenade-like explosions echoing through the night.

Eyewitnesses told the Nigerian Tribune that the assailants were believed to have come from a nearby settlement called Kobi, adding that several people sustained injuries during the attack.

One of the residents said two girls were r3ped while the vigilante identified as “Bako” was shot d3ad during the attack.

One of the residents who questioned why the particular house was targeted said residents had asked the landlord for security upgrades months earlier, requests they say, were not acted upon.

Residents said the police arrived later and calm returned only after officers deployed.
