Young man allegedly st@bs his childhood friend to d3ath over water in Minna

A young man identified simply as Abdulazeez has allegedly killed his childhood friend, Abubakar Sadiq, during an altercation in Minna, Niger State.

The incident occurred on Wednesday evening, December 17, 2025, at Dutsen Kura Hausa, Yoruba Street, around the time of the Maghrib prayer.

Eyewitnesses said the confrontation began as a minor disagreement over sachet water used for ablution but quickly escalated into violence.

Abubakar Sadiq reportedly sustained fatal injuries and was confirmed dead at the scene.

Following the incident, the suspect was apprehended and, alongside the victim’s body, taken to a local vigilante office as tension rose within the community.

Angry youths reportedly gathered in the area, calling for instant justice.
