We Want Ibadan State Created, Olubadan Urges President Tinubu
The newly installed 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, has urged President Bola Tinubu to fulfill the long-standing demand of Ibadan indigenes by creating Ibadan State from the present Oyo State.
The monarch made the appeal on Friday, September 26, shortly after receiving his Staff of Office from Governor Seyi Makinde.
Delivering his message, the former governor said: “My people asked me to speak to Mr President. They said the creation of Ibadan State is their top priority.”
