Edo NSCDC Commandant Collapses and D!es During Event in Benin

The Edo State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Agun Gbenga, tragically slumped and d!ed during an event in Benin City.

Reports indicate that Gbenga collapsed moments after delivering a goodwill address at a programme organised by the International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA) at the Bishop Kelly Pastoral Centre on Thursday, October 2, 2025.

Attempts by attendees to revive him were unsuccessful. He was rushed to the Military Base Hospital in Benin, where he was sadly confirmed d3ad.

The late commandant was among the personalities scheduled to receive awards at the event.
