Troops rescue kidnapped man in Taraba

Troops deployed in Taraba State have rescued a kidnapped man in Lau Local Government Area, the Nigerian Army has confirmed.

The victim, 40-year-old Alhaji Shuaibu, a Fulani resident of Yelwata Community in Ardo-Kola LGA, was abducted around 9:05 a.m. on December 11, 2025, near Yaja village.

Acting on credible human intelligence, troops immediately trailed the abductors and successfully rescued Shuaibu unharmed at about 11:00 a.m. the same day.

The Army added that the security situation in the area is stable, with heightened vigilance to prevent further incidents.
