Police Arrest Suspect in Killing of Repentant Bandit in Benue

One suspect has been arrested in connection with the k!lling of a repentant bandit along Sankera Zaki-Biam Road in Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State.

The deceased, identified as Kyoga Joka, was reportedly traced and shot d3ad by two armed men riding a motorcycle.

Eyewitnesses linked the assailants to Chen, a notorious bandit leader.

Following the incident on September 29, authorities recovered the corpse and deposited it at the General Hospital Mortuary, Zaki-Biam.

An alleged member of Chen’s gang, Teryila Kpogh, has been apprehended, while efforts are ongoing to trace and arrest the other perpetrators.

The State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) is reportedly investigating the case, with further developments expected to be communicated.
