Notorious Vandal Arrested in Kogi

A notorious suspected vandal, Umoru Faruk Unusah, has been arrested in Idah Local Government Area of Kogi State for allegedly damaging government property.

The arrest was carried out by the Idah Local Government Council Security Team and the Special Hunter Squad, led by Muhammed Opaluwa.

According to reports, the Hunter Special Squad, during a routine patrol around 1:00 a.m. on September 20, 2025, caught the suspect in the act of stealing cable wires from a solar streetlight along Ede Wards Street, Idah LGA.

Unusah, a resident of Sabongari, Idah, was found with a bundle of wires suspected to have been stolen from the solar light, along with a torchlight used during the operation.

The suspect was handed over to the police for further investigation and prosecution.
