Lagos Government Demolishes Houses Obstructing Water Flow in Lekki

To tackle the recurring flooding in Lagos, the Drainage Enforcement and Compliance Department of the State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources on Friday, September 26, began demolishing structures obstructing the natural flow of stormwater along the Ikota River channel in Lekki, Eti-Osa.

This move comes after days of intense rainfall that submerged homes, damaged properties, and left several vehicles stranded across the state.
