Hisbah officials destroy confiscated alcohol in Yobe
The Yobe State Hisbah Commission has destroyed several cartons of confiscated alcohol in the Gashau community of Bade Local Government Area.
The Commission’s spokesperson, Sibawaihi Ukasha Gashua, announced the development in a statement issued on Saturday, November 1, 2025.
According to the statement, the destruction was carried out in compliance with a directive from the Lower Shari’ah Court, which authorized the disposal of the alcohol intercepted on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.
“The items were confiscated from a J5 vehicle that departed from Jos, Plateau State, and both the suspects and the exhibits were taken to court where judgment was delivered according to Shari’ah law,” the statement read.“The Yobe State Hisbah Commission continues to intensify efforts toward eradicating immoral acts and promoting a disciplined and moral society. We pray that Almighty Allah guides and reforms our entire community.”
