Actor Derek Dixon Goes Public on National TV With Claims Against Tyler Perry, Recounts Alleged Bed Incident
The ongoing dispute between Hollywood mogul Tyler Perry and actor Derek Dixon has now spilled from the courtroom to national television.
Dixon, who featured in Perry’s BET drama The Oval, sat down with ABC News’ Linsey Davis, where he reiterated his allegations against the billionaire filmmaker.
In a preview clip from the interview, Dixon recounted the first alleged encounter, claiming it occurred at Perry’s Atlanta home in January 2020.
“I got into bed, and then I noticed that he climbed into bed with me as well and started rubbing my leg. I jumped up out of bed,” Dixon said.
He added that unless someone has been through an experience where they lose control over their body, it’s hard to understand the kind of fear and emotion that comes with it.
Dixon had earlier filed a $260 million lawsuit against Perry and Tyler Perry Studios, accusing them of workplace harassment, sexual assault, and battery. He claimed he was invited to Perry’s home, drank too much, slept in a guest room, and woke up to the alleged incident.
Perry’s camp has since denied all allegations, calling the lawsuit a scam.
