A man in Kano State has allegedly stabbed his father to d3ath following a disagreement over his plan to marry a second wife.

A Kano High Court No. 7 sitting in the Municipality has ordered the remand of Aminu Ismail, for allegedly st@bbing his father, Malam Dahiru Ahmad to d3ath with a knife in Unguwar Bai Village in Ajingi Local Government Area of the state.

The incident occurred after an argument between the two over Ismail’s intention to take a second wife, which his father had allegedly declined to support due to the current economic hardship.

According to the prosecution counsel, Barrister Abba Lamido Sorondinki, the accused had informed his father of his plan to take a second wife, but his father advised him against it, citing the economic situation.

This led to an argument, during which Ismail allegedly stabbed his father multiple times on the chest with a knife, causing fatal injuries.

Ismail has been charged with homicide, contrary to Section 221 of the Penal Code.

The case is ongoing, and the court has ordered his remand pending further proceedings.
