Three killed in Ibadan gas explosion

An explosion rocked the Biodun Alaadun area of Ona Ara Local Government, Ibadan, Oyo State, on Friday night, November 21, leaving three people dead.

The Oyo State Fire Service, led by its General Manager, Akinyinka Akinyemi, was among the first responders and confirmed the fatalities.

According to reports, the blast occurred while a tanker was offloading gas at a retail outlet. The victims reportedly included the owner of the gas shop and others who were nearby when the explosion happened.

Confirming the incident, the General Manager of the Oyo State Fire Services Agency, Yemi Akinyinka, said…

‘’Contrary to the claim by some that several people lost their lives,  three lives were lost, including the shop owner and those dispensing the gas.”

Normalcy has since been restored to the area.
