Police arrest suspected cultist ‘K!ller’ in Osun
Operatives of the Osun State Police Command’s Anti-Cultism Unit have arrested a 22-year-old suspected cultist, Ismail Damilare, popularly known as “Killer,” in the Oke-Odo area of Osogbo.
During the operation, police recovered two locally made pistols, ammunition, and other weapons in his possession.
Damilare reportedly told investigators that he carried the weapons for self-protection. He also claimed to be the personal assistant to the Chairman of the Osun State Park Management System, Nurudeen Iyanda, also known as Alowonle.
The spokesperson of the command, DSP Abiodun Ojelabi, confirmed the arrest on Monday, October 20.
“It is true that Ismail Damilare was arrested in the Oke-Odo area of Osogbo yesterday (Sunday) but it is not true that he is the son of Nurudeen Iyanda aka Alowonle. From our investigation, it is clear that he is one of the boys of Alowonle,” the PPRO said.
