Nigerian Woman Passes Away Two Days Before Traditional Wedding After Complaining of Chest Pain
Family and friends of a Nigerian woman, Mirian Chinonso Sunday, have been thrown into mourning after she d!ed two days to her traditional wedding.
It was gathered that Miriam passed away on Friday, October 3, in Umuahia, Abia State.
Her traditional wedding was scheduled to be held on Sunday, 5th October.
Her fiancé Ugochukwu Princewill (Donish Gold) had shared their pre-wedding photos on October 2, thanking her for choosing him.
“Sunday we party. 5th October. Thank you so much for choosing me, my baby girl…. love is a beautiful thing,” he wrote.
According to reports, Miriam was on her way to the market when she suddenly started complaining of chest pain and was rushed to FMC Umuahia where doctors battled to save her life.
It’s alleged she developed internal bleeding and a surgery was carried out but sadly, all efforts to save her life proved abortive.
Ugochukwu’s friend, Christian Ojike Agbaeze, confirmed the sad news on Saturday.
“A day made for celebration has turn to condolences, Blessing this was not the plan. UkA my man Donish Gold ,take heart ,you don’t deserve such cruelty from this world. Nigerian medical system failed you. We were meant to pay your pride price on Friday 03 2025 and party properly on 05 ,and you died on Friday 03 ,A day meant to be your happiest day. Saddest Month Ever. Why God,” he wrote.
Another friend who also confirmed the sad news in a Facebook post on Saturday, said prior to the time of the incident, Mirian was hale and hearty and looking forward to her wedding.
“My sister as we fondly call each other. You left everyone in shock and agony with your sudden d3ath. You were very healthy and excited over your traditional marriage that was supposed to hold tomorrow being 5th October until death snatched you away from us last night. I just wish this whole news was a prank but it’s reality keeps making me sad. I have lots of questions to ask but who do I ask since we can’t question God. Jee nke oma nne’m. RIP Mirian Sunday. RIP My sister as I fondly call you. RIP happy soul until we meet again. May God give your immediate family and loved ones the strength to bear your loss, Amen,” she wrote.
The contracted wedding MC, also confirmed the development and shared a screenshot from their conversation.
“Still in shock, She contacted me just a few months ago, full of excitement, as we planned her big day, her marriage ceremony that was meant to hold tomorrow. I was ready to stand as her MC, to celebrate love, laughter, and new beginnings with her. But today, we lost her. How do you process something like this? From marriage plans to funeral tears in just one night… it’s too heavy. Life truly is fragile. Mirian Sunday. May your gentle soul rest in peace, and may your family find strength in this dark moment,” he wrote.
