Gunmen kidnap Anglican priest and his wife in Kaduna

Gunmen kidnap Anglican priest and his wife in Kaduna

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted an Anglican priest, Venerable Achi, and his wife, Sarah Achi, in Kaduna State.

The couple were reportedly taken in the early hours of Tuesday, October 28, 2025.

A family member, Avril, who confirmed the incident, said the victims had only recently moved into a new residence before the abduction.

“Just got news tonight, that my uncle who is also an Anglican Reverend was kidnapped together with his wife, in Kaduna. We were together at my dad’s 70th, a few weeks back… He just moved into that new property, community informants/pointers for kidnappers, is a thing in kd,” he wrote.

The Diocese of Kaduna Anglican Communion also confirmed the abduction of the cleric and his wife, calling on members to unite in prayer for the safe and swift release of the victims.
