Gunmen abduct newly inducted medical radiographer, demand ₦200m ransom
Gunmen have kidnapped a newly inducted medical radiographer, Basheerah Ojedeyi, a graduate of Usmanu Danfodiyo University (UDUS), Sokoto.
She was reportedly abducted in Niger State on Monday, September 29, 2025, around 8 p.m. while returning home after her induction ceremony.
The abductors have since reached out to her family, demanding a ransom of ₦200 million for her release.
Efforts to negotiate with the kidnappers are ongoing, but her current whereabouts and condition remain unknown.
It was gathered that security agencies have been notified and are actively investigating the case.
Ojedeyi’s abduction has caused widespread concern among her family, colleagues, and the healthcare community.
They have taken to social media to appeal to security agencies and relevant agencies to act swiftly to ensure her secure her safe release.
