The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, announced the arrest of a notorious drink-spiker who drugs unsuspecting passengers before robbing them of money and valuables.
According to the DCI, the suspect, identified as Abdallah Suleiman, popularly known as Asuu, had long been on the police radar over multiple reports of passengers being drugged and robbed.
“Asuu is the mastermind behind a spate of incidents where travellers heading to Mombasa, Kisumu, Tanzania, and beyond were drugged and stripped of their belongings while unconscious,” the statement revealed.
His arrest came at the Mariakani Weighbridge after detectives, acting on intelligence, intercepted a Nairobi-bound bus and caught him in the act.
A search of his belongings uncovered Lorivan 2 tablets, soft drinks, and snacks suspected to have been laced with sedatives, prepared for his next victims.
