Unknown assailants have killed two wives of a Kano businessman and set their bodies ablaze.

Unknown assailants have killed two co-wives in the Unguwar Tudun Yola community of Gwale Local Government Area, Kano State.

The victims, both married to Alhaji Ashiru Shu’aibu, were attacked in a brutal late-night incident on Monday.

Speaking to Freedom Radio Nigeria on Friday, Alhaji Shu’aibu recounted how the attackers broke into his home in the middle of the night, killed his wives, and set one of the bodies ablaze.

“They entered our house at night, killed my wives, and then set one of the bodies on fire. I still don’t know why they carried out this wicked act,” he said.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson for the Kano State Police Command, CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, noted that an investigation is currently underway.
