Fire Engulfs Rivers State Secretariat Building
A fire broke out on Monday, October 6, at the Podium Block of the Rivers State Secretariat complex.
Videos from the scene showed thick plumes of smoke rising from the building, prompting panic among workers and leading to swift evacuations. The affected block houses several ministries, including the Ministries of Works and Social Welfare.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, and the state government is yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
