An Enugu State Magistrate Court has ordered the remand of 51-year-old Emeka Emmanuel Nwangwu, a member of a neighbourhood security watch group, over the alleged m**der of his 19-year-old cousin, Loveth Uloma Nwangwu, in Nsukka Local Government Area.
The spokesperson for the Enugu State Police Command, SP Daniel Ndukwe, confirmed the development in a statement, noting that Nwangwu was arraigned on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, following the conclusion of investigations by the State Criminal Investigation Department (State CID).
According to the PPRO, the arraignment was carried out on the directive of the Commissioner of Police, CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa.
Nwangwu was earlier arrested on December 1, 2025, after he allegedly assaulted the deceased, inflicting injuries that ultimately led to her d3ath.
The tragic incident occurred just days after she reportedly accused him of years of s3xual abuse and threats to her life.
