Bandits Kill Eight, Leave 20 Injured in Southern Kaduna Attack

Armed bandits have attacked Wake village in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State, killing eight people and injuring at least 20 others, some critically.

The raid, which occurred in the early hours of Sunday, September 7, 2025, also saw several residents abducted, though the exact number remains unclear.

At the time of this report, the community is holding burials for the victims while making arrangements to care for the injured.

The exact number of individuals abducted remains unknown.

No official statement has yet been issued by the Kaduna State Police Command.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of Kachia Local Government Council, Hon. Manzo Daniel Maigari, in the company of the Vice Chairman, Hon. Peter Agite, and a member of the Kaduna State House of Assembly representing Kachia constituency, paid a humanitarian visit to the injured victims who are receiving treatment at St. Gerald Hospital.
