Bandits Abduct Serving Councillor in Southern Kaduna
Bandits have kidnapped a serving councillor in Southern Kaduna, Hon. David Ali Gwantu.
Gwantu, who represents Gwantu Ward in Sanga Local Government Area, was abducted from his residence in Gwantu town in the early hours of Friday, September 5, 2025.
According to reports, the attackers stormed his home shortly after midnight and took him away in the presence of his family.
The incident comes amid renewed violence in Southern Kaduna. Only last week, seven people mostly minors were killed in a terrorist attack on Unguwan Rimi village, Kauru LGA.
