Liam Gallagher speaks out amid the Oasis
Britpop is regaining the spotlight as Oasis reunites. Liam Gallagher expressed his happiness about reconciling with his brother Noel following the announcement of the reunion.
Liam Gallagher has addressed fans on social media as he gears up to tour with his brother Noel Gallagher, aiming to restore Oasis to its former glory.
Since Monday, fans have been eagerly anticipating an announcement from Liam, 51, who hinted at sharing news on Tuesday (August 27, 2024) at 8 AM, igniting a wave of reunion speculation.
The long-awaited news was confirmed this Tuesday morning as Noel and Liam Gallagher finally reconciled after 15 years, announcing an extensive list of tour dates for their return to the stage in 2025.
Shortly after sharing the exciting update, which prompted celebrations among fans worldwide, Liam took to X, formerly known as Twitter, on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, to share a poignant message.
Accompanying the brothers’ recent photoshoot, he wrote: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.”
“This is it, this is happening,” Liam initially commented on a post announcing the upcoming tour. Tickets will be available for purchase starting Saturday, August 31, 2024, as the brothers plan to entertain fans in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin in July and August 2025.
This announcement follows a 15-year feud between Liam and Noel, which began after their last performance as Oasis in Paris in 2009. However, on August 25, Liam sent fans into a frenzy with an intriguing seven-word Tweet on X. Sharing a link to a story about Oasis planning concerts for summer 2025, he wrote: “I never did like that word FORMER.”
When fans asked how he was feeling, Liam responded that he had “Biblical vibrations.” He also engaged with fans commenting on his post, and when one suggested, “Well, say something like, it’s not happening,” Liam replied, “You trying to put words in my mouth that’s a criminal offense,” before adding, “I can but I don’t want to.”
Liam Gallagher’s fiancée, Debbie Gwyther, has been credited with encouraging him to consider a reunion with Noel, knowing he would “never be happy” if he stopped singing.
The couple began their romance after Liam’s divorce from Nicole Appleton in 2014. He proposed to Debbie in 2019 on the Amalfi Coast while on holiday with his mother, Peggy. Liam has praised his fiancée for introducing him to a whole new world beyond Primrose Hill and Hampstead in London, even mentioning that he’s ventured into the East End: “I’ve been to Dalston, man!”
In an interview with the Mirror, Liam spoke about Debbie, saying she had “saved” him and described her as “a breath of fresh air.” He added, “She sorted me right out. We enjoy the same things, like having a drink and a laugh. I’ve met my match, I’ve met my soulmate. It’s great because the kids love her, and the lads love her too.”
