Hisbah destroys seized alcoholic drinks in Katsina

The Katsina State Hisbah Board has destroyed confiscated alcoholic drinks in Bakori town, Funtua Local Government Area of the state.

The Information officer of the Hisbah Board, Abdul Baki Mustapha, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, December 14, 2025.

According to the statement, DC Bashir Lawal Balarabe alongside other Hisbah commanders from the Funtua zone, supervised the destruction of the 75 cartons of alcoholic drinks and three jerrycans of Gogoro (local wine)

The Hisbah Board said the action was aimed at curbing practices that contravene Islamic teachings and protecting societal moral values.
