Gunmen have reportedly k!lled a veterinary doctor and abducted his three children during a late-night attack in Abuja.

Suspected kidnappers have murdered Abuja-based veterinary doctor and former chairman of the Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association (FCT Chapter), Dr. Ifeanyi Ogbu, and abducted his three children.

Reports indicate that the assailants invaded the doctor’s residence in the Kubwa district along the Kubwa–Kaduna road on Friday night, October 3, 2025.

They allegedly shot Ogbu dead, dumped his body by the roadside, and fled with his three children to an unknown destination.

Dr Ogbu’s d3ath was confirmed on social media by his friend, Andrew Gabriel Ikechukwu, who wrote;

“Dr. Ifeanyi Ogbu, the immediate past chairman of the NVMA FCT chapter, who was kidnapped alongside his three children from his home in Kubwa Abuja, was found dead. The three children are yet to be released. May God please intervene.”

The attack comes barely a week after an ARise TV reporter, Somtochukwu Maduagwu, d!ed during a robbery in Katampe, another area of Abuja.

The FCT police command is yet to comment on the recent development.
