Explosion at Military Factory in Kaduna Leaves Two Dead, Four Injured

Two people have been confirmed de@d after an explosion occurred at the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON) factory in the Kakuri Industrial area of Kaduna South Local Government, Kaduna State, on Saturday, September 20.

The blast, which happened around 10 a.m., left two dead and four others injured. The loud explosion was felt across nearby communities in Kaduna South and Chikun Local Government Areas.

Those injured were first taken to St. Gerard’s Catholic Hospital, Kakuri, before being transferred by military ambulance to the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital, Kaduna.

DICON management is yet to react to the ufortunate incident.

.Established in 1964, DICON is Nigeria’s premier arms manufacturing outfit responsible for producing weapons and ammunition for the Nigerian Armed Forces.
